About Nature's Way
Terri R. Freeborn
Certified Massage Therapist
I have practiced healing arts for seventeen years. In June of 2004, I graduated from the
Professional Massage Therapy Virginia School of Massage Training Program in Advanced Massage and
Body Work. I'm certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Body
Work, and am licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing and am a member of the American Massage
Therapy Association.
My skills go beyond traditional massage therapy. I incorporate theories from Thai Massage,
Energy Work, and Reflexology, among other healing arts. In my ongoing goal to treat the whole
person, I have studied Tai Chi, Yoga, Shiatsu, Acupuncture, and Acupressure, along with the
Alexander Technique and Polarity Balancing.
I incorporate this knowledge into my Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular Massage, Deep Tissue
Massage, Sports Massage, Myofacial Release, Joint Mobilization, and Hot Stone Massage. I assess
and chart the progress of clients with medical issues, often in conjunction with the client's
doctor.
The therapeutic effects of massage are well proven to reduce stress and chronic pain. It is
beneficial in assisting clients to regain range of motion post surgery or injury. Massage
increases circulation thereby assisting the body in eliminating metabolic waster, toxins, and
excess fluids. And perhaps most of all, massage is the ultimate relaxing experience, promoting
physical and mental well being.
My motto is: "Prevention is the Cure"
